CANCELLED: Timings confirmed for steam locomotive 60163 Tornado test run

UPDATE at 16:30 on 29th October 2018: The Nene Valley Railway have announced that 60163 Tornado will not be leaving them tonight. We will advise of new timings when they are available

The timings for steam locomotive 60163 Tornado’s first mainline run since repair work have been confirmed.

60163 Tornado has been running in after repair work at the Nene Valley Railway, but now it is time for its light engine mainline test run.

Tornado will be on a light engine run from Orton Mere to Tyne Yard Sidings on Monday 29th October 2018.

Departing Orton Mere at 19:25, the A1 locomotive will head via Peterborough (19:40), Stoke Junction (20:24) and Grantham (20:33).

From Grantham, the locomotive will head via Claypole Loop (20:55), Newark North Gate (21:24), Retford (21:43) and finally arriving into Belmont Down Yard at 22:07.

From Belmont, the locomotive will head via Doncaster (23:01), York (23:43), Thirsk (00:31), Darlington (00:53), Durham and finally Tyne Yard at 01:32.
