The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway have announced that they have begun a project to replace their current fleet of passenger train carriages.

Their new observation carriage, which is currently under construction at the Boston Lodge Works at the Ffestiniog Railway, is the first part of them providing a new events coach and replacing their fleet of passenger train carriages.

It is hoped that from 2020, they will start to replace the carriages at a rate of two per year on a 10-year basis.

If you are interested in buying some of their old stock or take them all in one go, then please contact martin@ravenglass-railway.co.uk

To be considered, you will need to prepare a business plan with details of your requirements. This will include where the coaches are going. You will also need to include transport details. A financial offer should also be included for the board of directors to consider.

This is an excellent opportunity to own a piece of RER history. Good luck if you are thinking of sending in an offer.
