The Severn Valley Railway has announced that steam locomotive 70000 Britannia will be hauling passenger trains this weekend.

70000 Britannia will be hauling trains between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster and joins 34027 ‘Taw Valley', Class 40 No.40106, 43106 and 7802 ‘Bradley Manor' on the locomotive roster.

The ‘Britannia' locomotive will be hauling trains under AS1, which is the 10:15 and 2:15 departures from Kidderminster, and the 12:05 and 16:05 departures from Bridgnorth on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th October 2018.

There is no need to book a ticket, just turn up and pay on the day of your visit.

Don't worry if it is cold, all trains have steam heating to keep you nice and warm.

This is 70000 Britannia's final days in steam before returning to Crewe next week.
