West Somerset Railway has announced that steam locomotive 34046 Braunton (in the guise of 34052 Lord Dowding) will be hauling passenger trains this Sunday.

The locomotive will be hauling the 10.15 service leaving Minehead, 12.15 leaving Bishops Lydeard, 14.15 leaving Minehead and 16.15 leaving Bishops Lydeard on Sunday.

This comes as the locomotive played a starring role at the recent Autumn Steam Gala.

If you are planning to travel this weekend (and we would recommend it!), you can book your rover tickets in advance and take advantage of a discount.

If you are attending, I hope you have a fantastic visit to Britain's longest heritage railway.
