UPDATE: The station reopened in February 2019 after the work was completed
The Lynton and Barnstaple Railway has announced that Chelfham station has been closed for the immediate future.
Access is not permitted for either public or members of the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway Trust, unless authorised by a director of the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway Company.
No confirmation as to why the closure has come about, but we hope the station will reopen in the future.
This closer is By Order of the Railway Board, if you are caught trespassing then you may be liable to a fine.
More news, when it is announced, will be published as soon as possible.
