The East Lancashire Railway has announced that around 5000 passengers travelled behind 60103 Flying Scotsman during her visits in September.

The steam star ran passenger trains on the line between Heywood and Rawtenstall and also hosted guided talks for a day.

Throughout the visit, in September, Flying Scotsman carried around 5000 passengers and welcomed almost 200 people on tours.

Passengers came from all over the world, including the USA, Austrailia and Mexico.

This is excellent news for the ELR, and its great to see so many people enjoying the delights of this excellent locomotive.

We have enjoyed visits to the for Flying Scotsman, and we hope it isn't too long until she visits again.
