The East Lancashire Railway, along with the Class 40 Preservation Society, has announced that the planned railtour to Holyhead with steam locomotive No.60103 Flying Scotsman has been cancelled.

The reason for the cancellation is the late scheduling of engineering works around the Manchester area.

The railtour was being run in order to raise funds for the purchase of steam locomotive 34092 City of Wells.

There currently aren't any plans for a reschedule (none that have been announced yet), but when a reschedule is announced, we will let you know!

Don't forget, however, that Flying Scotsman is on display tomorrow at the – get up close with the world famous locomotive.
