We have been lucky enough to have had a review copy of the Bossman Games‘ Jubilee pack on the PC sent to us to have a look at, here is our review!
The Jubilee pack on the PC features all 191 locomotives of the class in a variety of different liveries, including LMS Black, BR Green, and LMS Crimson.
This high-quality add-on is a follow up to the Black 5 pack that we looked at earlier this year. Take a look at that here.
Above you will see a video, this has a few clips of game footage of the new add-on, and takes a look at some of the locomotives, scenarios, and features.
Scenarios
Having played with a few of the scenarios, we have found these to be very detailed indeed. There is a scenario for everyone, whether it be an express passenger service or a light engine movement.
The Jubilee pack is also available for Quick Drive scenarios and free roam scenarios, allowing you to take your favourite Jubilee wherever you like
Controls
The controls of this type of locomotive are very very detailed indeed, whether it be the injectors, sanders or lockable reverser, this pack is definitely one to keep you engaged in the scenario.
However, if you prefer an easier drive, there is an option for an automatic fireman, allowing you to have a leisurely drive.
Overall
Overall, we have been really impressed by the attention to detail and how high-quality this add-on for Train Simulator is. It runs really well, with little to no stuttering (however, we were also filming the game footage at the time, which does impact on performance a little so you may not see the stuttering).
Each of the locomotives features a high-quality cab, with the majority of the levers clickable. The addition of headboards, HI Lamps and a variety of positions for other lamps means you can personalise your activity to however you like.
As you will see in the above video, the sounds (recorded from a real locomotive) sound superb, this allows the experience to be really immersive and allows you almost feel like you are driving this locomotive in real life.
We would definitely recommend picking up a copy of the Jubilee pack for Train Simulator 2018.
