Happy 10th Birthday to Peters Railway

Famous author, Chris Vine, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the popular series of railway books for children, Peters Railway.

2008 saw the first book published after the engineer’s love of trains, which saw him build his own miniature railway and model locomotive. It is this passion which lead him to write his own book to inspire the next generations of engineers.

10 years on, and there is now 19 Peter’s Railway books available, with sales of 250,000 copies worldwide, including a translated version for China! It also played a starring role in the Channel 5 documentary – ‘The Unstoppable Flying Scotsman’.

There was a big gap in the market, the books allow children to have an adventure whilst learning about steam trains they cover a wide variety of subjects from engineering, maths, and electricity to building bridges and tunnels.

2018 now sees the launch of the new Peter’s Railway activity book, packed full of activities for children to entertain themselves whilst in the car, on holiday or on the train.
