100 Hundreds Appeal launched for steam locomotive 3840 County of Montgomery

The Churchward County Trust has announced that they have launched the 100 Hundreds Appeal to cover the cost of machining the frames.

The frames for the GWR County class are expected to be delivered to the in September 2018.

The total cost of final machining, drilling and profiling is £10,000.

The trust hopes the gain 100 supporters donating £100 each to the appeal.

In return for the donation, donors will receive an A4 print of the painting of 3840 by Jonathan Clay, together with a year's membership of the Churchward County Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity to really make a difference and help the trust with their aim of seeing 3840 in steam soon!
