Where and when to see steam locomotive 35028 Clan Line in Bristol and Kingswear this Sunday

Steam locomotive 35028 Clan Line will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Bristol and Kingswear on Sunday 19th August 2018.

The Merchant Navy locomotive is on a special railtour tomorrow. 35028 is hauling ‘The Torbay Express’ railtour on Sunday.

The steam locomotive will depart Bristol Temple Meads at approximately 08:00 am.

The railtour will then leave Bristol Temple Meads, bound for Kingswear, where it will make stops at Bath Spa (08:18), Trowbridge (08:46), Westbury (08:57), and Taunton (10:04).

From Taunton, 35028 Clan Line will steam through Dawlish (11:29), Teignmouth (11:34) and Torquay (11:50) and Paignton (11:54) before arriving into Kingswear 12:28.

Passengers will then spend a couple of hours in Kingswear, after which Clan Line will depart for Bristol Temple Meads at 16:50. The train returns via Paignton (17:15), Dawlish (17:52), Taunton (18:28), Frome (19:32), Westbury (19:58), Bath Spa (20:37)) before it makes its final destination of Bristol Temple Meads, where it will arrive at 20:54.
