The Didcot Railway Centre has announced that GWR Prairie Tank No. 5572 has had a repaint to make it look splendid.

The work was completed between the 15th to 21st August 2018.

The Non-Operational Locomotives Group of the Great Western Society completed the repaint of the green sections of GWR prairie tank 5572. T

5572's paintwork was peeling, so the team spent the week rectifying it.

The team in the photographs are Dave Beeley, Tom Gibbs, Matt Greenhalgh, Martin Lyons, Peter Nicholls, Ian Payne and Richard Preston. Others also served who do not appear in these pictures.

I'm sure you will agree, the work done is superb, making the locomotive look high quality again.
