Here is our latest video of our visit to the Ruislip Lido Railway, which we visited on the 19th of August 2018.
A cloudy day greeted us upon arrival at the Lido, however, things soon brightened up in the afternoon.
In operation was diesel locomotive, John Rennie. This locomotive was built in 2004 and is one of 5 diesel locomotives on the line, which operate alongside steam locomotive Mad Bess.
The railway, which is 12 inch in gauge, was operating their Yellow Timetable on the day of our visit. Just John Rennie was in operation today.
In the video, we take a ride behind John Rennie along the one-mile length of track, which takes you from Willow Lawn to Woody Bay via Haste Hill and Eleanor's Loop.
At Woody Bay, you will find a Cafe, gift shop, ‘the beach' as well as toilet facilities. At Willow Lawn, you will find a car park and cafe facilities.
We had another excellent visit to the Ruislip Lido Railway, we will definitely be returning in the future. We would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the London area.
