The 6880 Betton Grange Society has released an update to the work to build the 81st grange at Tyseley Locomotive Works.
Most of the firebox work is now complete. A number of the stays have been added, with the rest being fitted within the next week.
As you can see from the image above, the quality of the workmanship is very much on show and is easy to see where the money goes when getting the boiler to such a high standard.
The smokebox for the locomotive is now awaiting fitting.
The locomotive is current outside whilst awaiting the wheel drop to rectify a few issues with the fame rivets.
