National Railway Museum stop locomotive group from volunteering

The 55002 Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry group have announced that the management at the National Railway Museum has stopped them from volunteering.

Readers will probably have noticed the lack of news or progress on their Facebook page recently.

The NRM has informed the group that there isn't a safety management system in place, with no one willing to take responsibility for the group.

55002 KOYLI Group were told they would be up and running within a couple of months from January 2018. However, things are very quiet and with no prospect of the group being allowed back to volunteering, 55002 Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry's engines will stay quiet for the foreseeable future.

However, with the current situation with the KOYLI Group at the NRM. They have offered to help speed up the restoration of Tulyar, with the group being at the Deltic Preservation Society depot from September 2018
