Didcot Railway Centre has announced that the boiler of steam locomotive No.3650 was lifted out its frames this week.

The lift took place on Tuesday 7th August 2018 and used the 86 year old hoist in the 1932 built lifting shop.

This is another major step forward for the locomotive returning to steam. It is currently undergoing a 10-year overhaul.

We look forward to seeing more updates on No.3650 and eventually seeing her return to steam!
