Transport for London has today published travel advice ahead of strike action taking place on the Piccadilly Line this week.

The Strike Action means that no train service will be in operation on the Piccadilly Line from Wednesday 11th July until Saturday 14th July 2018.

Piccadilly line train operators who are RMT members are planning industrial action from 21.00 Wednesday 11 July to 01:00 Saturday 14 July.

Talks to resolve the strike action are ongoing, but if these talks are unsuccessful, then the action will go ahead.

Passengers are advised to complete journeys on the Picadilly Line by 10 pm on Wednesday 11th July 2018. Services will resume with delays until 9 am on Saturday morning.

Passengers needing to travel between Heathrow Airport and Central London, TfL Rail and Heathrow Express train services will be available to and from London Paddington.

All other Tube lines are expected to run as normal but TfL expects them to be busier than usual, especially interchange stations such as Finsbury Park, Green Park, Hammersmith, and King's Cross St. Pancras.

You can keep up to date with the travel information via the TfL website here.

What did the officials say?

Nigel Holness, TfL's Director of Network Operations for London Underground, said:

‘Customers are advised to check TfL journey planner for the latest journey information to see whether the strike is going ahead this week.

‘I urge the RMT Leadership to work with us constructively on the local issues they have raised, so that Londoners aren't subjected to disruption.'
