When and where to see steam locomotive 46100 Royal Scot in Preston and Keighley tomorrow

Steam locomotive No.46100 Royal Scot will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Preston and Keighley on Friday 22nd June 2018.

The Royal Scot locomotive is on a light engine movement from Crewe H.S. to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, for their 50th Anniversary celebrations next week.

The steam locomotives will depart Crewe H.S. at approximately 07:50 am.

The railtour will then leave Crewe, bound for the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, where it will stop at Crewe before heading up the West Coast Mainline via Warrington (08:49), Wigan North Western (09:03), Preston (09:21) and Carnforth (09:52) before stopping at Bentham at 10:15.

After a 15 minute break, the locomotive will depart Bentham  and head past Settle Junction at around 10:55 before stopping at Hellifield at 11am.

After around 20 minutes, 46100 Royal Scot will depart Hellifield for a short hop to Keighley via Skipton (11:39).

The locomotive will arrive at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway at 12:02 and will then go to Haworth MPD to prepare for the week ahead.
