The East Lancashire Railway will be playing host to their Race The Train Event on the 10th June 2018.
Runners will be trying to beat the steam train on its journey from Bury to Rawtenstall.
Go and visit the East Lancashire Railway on the 10th June 2018 to support the runners, or cheer on the locomotive on its journey through the Irwell Valley.
The locomotive for this event is to be confirmed.
On the 10th June 2018, the East Lancashire Railway will be running with normal fares for passengers on the train, and the run starts from Bury Bolton Street station on the ELR.
