Govia Thameslink Railway has played host to tours of St Pancras International rail station in London ahead of the timetable change later this month.
Great Northern passengers were able to familiarise themselves with the station before services begin to move from Kings Cross to St Pancras on 20th May 2018.
From next month, half of the Peterborough train services will run as Thameslink via St Pancras instead of London Kings Cross, many Cambridge will make the switch too.
This change will give thousands of passengers at stations along the route direct trains to St Pancras and other fully accessible stations such as South Bank, Farringdon and London Bridge.
The tours were held on two days and some 11,500 passengers who live on the Great Northern route and hold a Disabled Persons Railcard were invited.
The passengers also were able to test platform ‘humps' which have been installed at all Thameslink central London stations.

“We are grateful to our customers for taking the time to familiarise themselves with St Pancras ahead of the timetable changes. St Pancras International offers all the facilities and amenities that can be found at King's Cross and we wanted to help our passengers ahead of the switch.”
