Churnet Valley Railway announce details for Anything Goes and Cider Festival

The Churnet Valley Railway, in Staffordshire, has announced some details for the Anything Goes Gala and Cider Festival.

Up to 20 ciders and 5 bands will be at the event and will make it an event not to miss if your into your cider and music.

The line will also come to life with a variety of engines running – the 12st-3rd June 2018 sees the host their annual summer gala alongside the Cider Festival. The locomotives will be working hard at their intensive timetable and will be operating into the evening on the Friday and Saturday.

Engines hoping to make an appearance are:

  • BR Class 08 no. 08633 (*subject to completion of repairs)
  • BRCW Class 33 no. 33102 “Sophie”
  • TKh no. 2944 “Hotspur”

At 19:45 on the Friday, Stepping Lane will be kicking off the weekend, with a short break in the middle for you to grab food and drink.

Saturday morning will kick off with an all request DJ. Then at 15.15 Emily Kate will take to the stage before the DJ returns to get you ready for Sinpusher who will be taking over at 8 pm to round off the day.

 

Sunday will see the return of the all request DJ from 11 and then Adam Darcy with the evening road trip will round off the weekend from 13:45.

The Good Shed tea room at Cheddleton will be open:

  • Saturday 10:00 till 18:00
  • Sunday 10:00 till 17:30

The Menu:

  • Ham salad baps
  • Turkey salad baps
  • Assortment of cakes changing daily
  • Ice Cream
  • Oatcakes
  • And the return of our brilliant BB offering:
    • Sausage
    • Vegetable skewers
    • Jacket potato with a variety of fillings
    • Classic Beef Burger
    • Minted Lamb Burger
    • Piri Burger
    • Scotch Bonnet Burger
      • All Burgers have the option to add extra of cheese or/and onions

The Signal tea room at Kingsley and Froghall Station will be open:

  • Friday 15:00 till 23:00
  • Saturday 10:00 till 23:00
  • Sunday 10:00 till 17:30

The Signal tea rooms will be offering meals throughout the weekend to be eaten in or taken away.

On offer from the Signal Tearooms is:

  • Homemade Chicken curry with Rice and Naan Bread – Available from 12:00
  • Homemade Vegetable Lasagne Chips and Salad – Available from 12:00
  • Staffordshire Oatcakes with a variety of fillings
  • Assortment of cakes
  • Up to 10 flavours of Marshfield Farm Ice cream
  • Sausage Baps
  • Bacon Baps
  • BBQ Offerings:
    • Sausage
    • Vegetable Skewers
    • Jacket potato with a variety of fillings
    • Classic Beef Burger

Peg Legs Sweet emporium will be open with the Signal Tea rooms all weekend offer:
