The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway has announced that GWR Pannier Tank No. 7714 will be visiting the line for their 50th Anniversary Gala in 2018.
The tank engine joins steam locomotive No. 46100 ‘Royal Scot' to the line as well as a variety of GBRF diesel locomotives for the 8-day long gala.
The gala will have different topics for the event and will be being held from the 24th June – 1st July 2018.

About 7714
No. 7714 is a GWR Collett class of Pannier Tank, currently based at the Severn Valley Railway, it is one of two examples of this class at the heritage railway in Bridgnorth. The locomotive was built in 1930 for Great Western Railway by Kerr Stuart & Co. of Stoke. It entered service at Tyseley in 1930 and worked all the way up to January 1959 when it was withdrawn, having run for 520,000 miles in service. It acted as a spare engine at the Penallta Colliery near Rhymney in South Wales under the National Coal Board until arriving at the Severn Valley Railway in 1973.
