Unfortunately for a second time, the North Norfolk Railway has been advised that the Standard 4 Tank, this time 80104, will not be able to visit the line for their Spring Steam Gala.
Replacement
Thankfully, another Standard 4 Tank has been found which can attend the gala. This time, Standard 4 Steam locomotive, No.80072 will join the guest line-up thanks to the Llangollen Railway.
A brief history of 80072
Brighton Works turned 80072 out in late 1953, like fellow class members only worked a short life, with 80072 being withdrawn in mid-1965.
Currently, the engine is based at the Llangollen Railway. 2019 will see the boiler ticket expire. The tank currently wears BR Lined Black with Late Crest.
