Pink Train from the Helston Railway raises hundreds for the St Julia’s Hospice

The Helston Railway, in Cornwall, has announced that their Pink Train has raised an incredible £834 for St Julia's Hospice.

In October 2017, volunteers from the painted one of their diesel locomotives pink for the last day of the season. The aim? To raise money for local charity, St Julia's Hospice, which is run by Cornwall Hospice Care.

Hard working volunteers at the railway painted the locomotive pink overnight for the last day of the 2017 season. Fast forward to March 2018 and the railway has presented the Cornwall Hospice Care with a cheque for £834.

Helston Railway's Marketing Director Ben Harding comments “The railway is pleased to be able to support The St Julia's Hospice via Cornwall Hospice Care and we hope that our donation will go toward continuing the good work that is done by them”
