The , along with their Preservation Society, are a heritage railway which can be found in Norfolk. They have been running for 10 years and are now looking to relay track on an old track bed.

The track would be running from Whitwell & Reepham Station to Lenwade Station.

This would then make sure that the existing users can still use the land as well.

They have set up this petition because of confusion between the railway and partners over the term ‘railway land'. The Whitwell and Reepham Railway would like to see the following happen as a result of the petition:

  1. Clarify the position of the Lynn and Fakenham Railway Act of 1876 to 1881, the Eastern & Midlands Act 1883 to 1885, and the other railway almaganations up to Network Rail times, and to confirm the land under the Lynn and Fakenham Act still does in fact have an act of parliament still in force for the land to be used as a railway
  2. Clarify who actually has preference over this land if the point above is true.
  3. Provide us with a written statement of the above

Also, because of this issue, the railway is currently unable to carry passengers who are elderly or disabled. The only answer to this has been to build a temporary platform.

The railway is now also restoring their first steam locomotive, Agecroft No. 3 back to steam.
