The Groudle Glen Railway, on the Isle of Man, has started its major trackwork project for the year outside the Lhen Coan Carriage Shed.

Ahead of train services starting again at Easter… the major work of removing the life-expired points and track fan outside of the carriage shed has begun.

The original track has been dismantled. The site has been cleared ahead of the new points being lifted onto the site with the assistance of Greenland Construction.

Volunteers will now be at the railway each weekend to get the track work reconnected, levelled and ballasted ahead of the railways ‘Easter Bunny' trains.

Thank yous

The narrow gauge railway has thanked the support of the Scheinberg family for their assistance in funding this track project.
