Steam locomotive No. 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ to visit the Nene Valley Railway

The Nene Valley Railway, in Peterborough, has announced that steam locomotive No. 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman' will return to the railway in late September/early October 2018.

The locomotive will be in public service on the 29th/30th September and 1st October 2018. Tickets must be booked in advance for a trip behind the world famous locomotive.

The visit that Flying Scotsman is making is as a ‘thank you' for the assistance that the . This is after they provided in October 2017 when the locomotive needed repairs.

The A3 steam locomotive, built in 1923, will be in steam taking passengers from Wansford on the 7.5-mile long heritage railway.

The locomotive will be taking passenger services, but also will be hauling ‘The Jolly Fisherman' specials… yes thats right, you can eat Fish and Chips whilst being hauled by Flying Scotsman
