Rail Union, RMT, has today confirmed that further strike action will take place on the Docklands Light Railway in a dispute over the breakdown in industrial relations.
RMT cleaners, security staff and travel safe officers on the Docklands Light Railway will be taking the strike action from 5:30 am on Thursday 22nd February 2018 until 5:29 am on Saturday 24th February 2018.
Today's announcement follows on from the last weeks 48-hour strike when RMT exposed the fact that “ISS was prepared to bribe scabs with bundles of cash in a desperate effort to break the strike while denying their permanent staff the pay and workplace justice they are entitled to”.
RMT said today that “its about time London Labour Mayor Sadiq Khan stepped in and helped a broker a solution to a dispute involving a key group of transport workers on his watch which shames the City.”

The workers involved in the dispute are employed by contractor ISS on the KAD contract and will take further strike action as follows:

What did the officials say?
RMT General Secretary Mick Cash said “We are supporting our members in this further phase of strike action in a bid to force management to honour agreements, pay staff their contractual hours and give their staff proper respect and dignity at work. It is now time for the London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, to step in and sort out this company who are abusing a key group of London transport workers on his watch. RMT Reps have continually chased management to settle the dispute but the company is blatantly ignoring the union's concerns. The fact that the company was prepared to kick back in our faces genuine attempts by the union to resolve the dispute in talks speaks volumes about their attitude.
