Heritage DMU Trains this half term at Midland Railway Butterly

The Midland Railway – Butterly are to run trains every day over the half term holiday from the 17th to the 25th February as well as every weekend until the 25th March.

They will also have a special offer on where every passenger can enjoy a free hot drink to the keep the cold at bay.

Over the half term running, the railway will be using their heritage Diesel Multiple Units. These trains allow you have a drivers eye view of the track and even see the driver at work.

The museum and country park will be open (weather permitting) as well as the demonstration signal box. The Victorian railwayman’s church and West Shed will also be open.

In the West Shed, there will be children’s craft activities, including the popular “make your own junk train”.

The shop will be open for your souvenirs and toys, with some substantial reductions.

The Winter Warmer Trains will run from 11:00 am to 2:50 pm every day from 17th to the 25th February

What did the officials say?

Alan Calladine the Midland Railway Trust Development Officer said “We run trains throughout the year with a range of special events. The Winter Warmer Trains are a chance to enjoy the railway at a quieter time of the year, and enjoy a hot drink in our Station Buffet as well as a train ride and the chance to pick up a bargain book.”
