Kids go free on the East Lancashire Railway

Start the year off the right way, with a steam train ride through the Irwell Valley. The East Lancashire Railway currently has a special offer on which means that kids can travel free.

From the 6th January until 9th February, one child goes free with an adult buying a Freedom of the Line train ticket.

Just download this voucher and present it when purchasing your ticket at the station.

Please note that Free travel is for children aged between 5 and 17 only.

The East Lancashire Railway runs for 13 miles through the Irwell Valley from the town of Rawtenstall to Heywood via Irwell Vale, Ramsbottom, Summerseat, Burrs Country Park/Caravan Park, and Bury Bolton Street.
