The Fairbourne Railway in North Wales has launched their ‘Track Appeal' to help pay back a member who loaned the railway money to buy the vital track.

Over the winter, the narrow gauge railway has been replacing the track and redesigning the layout of Barmouth Ferry station.

Thanks to a generous loan from a member, the railway have purchased the new rail and sleepers to complete the project, although, this loan will need to be paid off.

The station road track was in place for the railways Santa Specials to run. The project will be completed in time for the railways season opening in February.
