Steam locomotive ‘Brown Bear' has left the Groudle Glen Railway on the Isle of Man and is heading for Old Hall Farm Engineering, in Cumbria, where her final assembly will take place.

Due to the unexpected firebox repair and new cab of ‘Sea Lion', the volunteer team at the narrow gauge railway has got enough work to do this winter, so the decision was taken to complete the build off the island.

The locomotives boiler is already at Bouth. The cab, water tanks and remaining components will be transported at a later date.

The has thanked the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, Mezeron and Old Hall Farm for their generous support for this work.
