The Lynton and Barnstaple Railway have announced that they have seen their 500,000th passenger travel on the Narrow Gauge Railway.

The family, from Berkshire, travelled on the 13:30 from Woody Bay on October 25th 2017.

Mum and Dad, along with Amy and Craig, aged 7 and 12 respectively, were treated to a 1st class trip to mark the occasion.

The Robsons have visited Woody Bay on several times previously.

The 250,000th passenger took a trip just 5 years ago. It took the railway 8 years to get to a quarter of a million.

This shows a steady increase in the number of passengers – which is great news!

We will be potentially visiting the next year – so keep an eye out on our website and Twitter for pictures!
