East Lancs Railway – DMU Gala 2017 – Information

This weekend, the and the Bury Unit Team will celebrate the launch of their Cravens Class 105 unit by holding a special DMU Gala.

The 105 DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) has just undergone a 21 year restoration and will be running for the first time at the gala.

A Craven Class 109 unit will also be running on the line and will be visiting from the Llangollen Railway following its own 10 year restoration.

It will also be the last runs of Class 117 which has been resident at the ELR for the past few years.

ELR based Class 40 No. 40135 will also be taking part in a DMU drag assisting a ‘failed' 104 unit.

Fares

Standard fares apply to this event, with the exception of ‘Freedom of the Line' tickets which will only provide one round trip.
