Rail Freight Operator, DB Cargo UK, helped plan and conduct train movements which feature in the chase scenes in Paddington 2.

A1 60163 ‘Tornado' hauled the Belmond British Pullman. Whereas, along with the Steam Loco, had a Class 66 and FYA wagons. All feature in the chase. This involved Paddington Bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw). Paddington's friends also feature Phoenix Buchanan (Hugh Grant), Henry Brown (Hugh Bonneville) and Mary Brown (Sally Hawkins).

The filming actually took place at Paddington station in London.

DB Cargo UK used a Class 66 locomotive and an FYA wagon set in the film. This was to make the ‘Fair Train' in the film.

The Belmond British Pullman coach was later taken to a studio to simulate part of the chase.

What did the officials say on Paddington 2?

Richard Corser, Account Manager Charters and Resource Hire at DB Cargo UK, said “Back in December 2016 we made arrangements with Paddington Station to do the filming. We worked with the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust to get the Tornado there. We also brought our Class 66 and FYA wagons. It was very challenging but a very exciting project to be part of and proof that staff at DB Cargo UK can really put their hands on anything. Drivers from our Acton depot and our steam crew were involved in the filming and were excellent throughout – thanks to all involved DB Cargo UK has a well-deserved credit at the end of the film. It has been wonderful to be part of this project and I can't wait to go see Paddington Bear in action on our service!”
