Yes its approaching that time of year again, the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway have launched their range of Christmas Cards for the 2017 season.
The cards feature a seasonal painting by Jonathon Clay on the front. Click here to see his range of paintings.
The message inside each card is ‘With Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year’ in both English and Welsh
The cards vary in sizes of 5, 12, 20, 36 and 50 cards in a pack. The prices are given below and include a mixture of the cards below and UK Postage is included in the cost. All proceedings from the cards all goes towards maintenance and progression of the railway.
- Five cards – £4.00
- Twelve cards – £6.50
- Twenty five cards £11.00
- Thirty six cards £14.50
- Fifty cards £19.30.
The Range of Cards
Card 1 – loco No.822 ‘The Earl’, stood next to a Pannier tank locomotive in Welshpool yard in BR days.
Card 2 – ‘The Earl’ pausing at Heniarth in wintry weather
Card 3 – ‘The Earl’ on a wintry train in the Narrows, Welshpool.
These look like superb cards for anyone interested in trains and steam – you will also be helping out a line with their maintenance – after all, Christmas is all about giving and receiving!
