Weekend Delight At The Leighton Buzzard Railway

Next weekend, on the 28/29th October 2017, the are having a weekend full of two events.

The narrow gauge railway in Bedfordshire, England, are putting two different and seperate events featuring both home and visiting locomotives.

Steam Glow

This event is being held on Saturday 28th October 2017. The event consist of an evening photoshoot at Stonehenge Works.

The railways recently overhauled locomotive Doll will depart Pages Park at 1830 and arrive at Stonehenge Works where 5 more locomotives will be in steam for the photo shoot.

All locomotives will be moved around to give different oppotunities for photos to be taken over the course of the 2 hour event.

Locomotives on display

Available to have their picture taken in the dark will be:

  • Kerr Stuart 0-4-0T ‘Diana'
  • Wren Class ‘Jennie'
  • De Winton 0-4-0VB ‘Chaloner'
  • Baguley Cars Rishra
  • Orenstein & Kopple 0-4-0WT ‘P C Allen'
Fares

There will be a special fares for this event.

  • Adult – £20
  • Young Person (10-17) – £8
  • Under 10s – FREE
Times

As said before, the train will depart Pages Park at 18:30, the train will depart Stonehenge Works at 21:00, arriving back at 21:25 at Pages Park.

Small Engines Day

This event is being held on Sunday 29th October 2017. The event consist of seeing some of the railways smaller locomotives being used for the service trains.

Locomotives

Diana and Chaloner are planned to double head the 10:30, 12:20 and 14:10 departures from Pages Park.

P C Allen and Jennie are planned to double head the 11:25, 13:15 and 15:05 departures from Pages Park.
