Greater Anglia have introduced Ken, their brand new Fare Guru to help passengers to get around the network cheaper.

Ken has plenty of hacks to get passengers on trains for less.

He is a real-life person working every day to get you the best deals on the Great Anglia network.

He also has some top tips to potentially saves thousands

He said: “I love trains, I’m a train geek, and because of that I am passionate about showing others how they can travel by train for less. By following my top tips, regular passengers and those travelling in groups have the potential to save a lot of money– it really is easy when you know how.

Some of his tricks:

  1. Under 16s travel for just £2 when travelling with an adult on Greater Anglia trains.
  2. Evening off-peak restrictions are lifted during half term
  3. Go out with the family for less with a Family and Friends (F&F) Railcard.
  4. If travelling from stations north of Ipswich to London with a child under 11-years-old, pay £2 for the child’s fare to London and then they can travel free on the underground (accompanied by adult).
  5. Plan ahead to get the cheapest fares.
  6. Duo Ticket – buy one ticket and get the second half price.
