The weekend will all be focused on how railways helped Britain in the war, and also how the railways looked during the first and second world war.

2017 will see a new development to the event, the North West Military Collectors will be returning (after coming last year) to showcase Allied and Axis forces throughout the weekend. They will descend on Froghall once on each day of the event to re-enact a live battle.

The railway will be running an intensive full timetable along the line, with recreation military goods trains with themed vehicles.

There are plenty of activities throughout the railway, but Froghall will be the main focal point of the event, with dance troupes and also the battle re-enactments.

Consall will be taken over by Axis Forces as they take a stronghold.

Cheddleton is the home of the education team, where there will be plenty of exhibitions to look at.

The event gets underway at 10.15 on the 30th October 2017 with the first train of the day. Both steam and diesel locomotives will be the motive power for a trip down memory lane for many, and a new interesting look into the past for some.
