66779 Evening Star at the National Railway Museum in York

The has today (04/09/2017) announced the first visitor to its Mixed Traction Gala, which is to be held over the weekend of Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th September 2017.

66779 “Evening Star” is the last Class 66 to be built for GBRF after being built in 2015 and being displayed at the National Railway Museum for a few months. It is a regular sight on the national network hauling freight up and down the country.

It is hoped that 66779 will be joined by all of the Nene Valley's operational fleet of locomotives, this includes 34081 92 Squadron, Hudswell Clarke No 1800, Class 31 No. 31271, Class 14's and the LMS Steam Crane
