From Today (22nd August 2017), Virgin Trains have launched their 50% seat sale with half a million tickets up for grabs.
The sale will run from the 22nd August until Monday 28th August, and is valid along the east coast (VTEC) route.
Whether your wanting to visit friends and family this autumn or visit the Christmas markets, this sale offers you a great discount on your travel to make it a great day out!
Discounted fares include the below Advance Single tickets:
- Leeds-London (Standard Class normally from £16, now £8)
- Edinburgh to London (Standard class normally from £40, now £20)
- Newcastle to London (Standard Class normally from £36, now from £18)

What are the Terms & Conditions of the Seat Sale?
- Your travel date has to be from 11 September to 20 December. Weekends up to the 5th November, excluding 21st-29th October (inclusive).
- Availability is limited on the following dates due to engineering work:
- London – Scotland services reduced to an hourly service on 16, 17, 23, 30 September and 7 October 2017
- Engineering work in the Peterborough area leading to a reduction in services to/from London with some connecting bus journeys applying on 28, 29 October and 4, 5 November 2017
