A preservation group is hoping to fundraise enough money to bring a Class 414 to North Wales from the Electric Railway Museum

The Class 414 Preservation Group aims to ensure the survival of an original 1959 Class 414 2-HAP Southern region suburban unit 4311.

This is only one of two in existence in original unrefurbished condition including tungsten lamps and cloth. This unit is in completely unmolested condition with no evidence of graffiti or etching to the original windows.

The group are looking to fund the £11,500 to complete the purchase and move the unit to the Blaenau Ffestiniog & Trawsfynydd Railway in North Wales. The current home of this iconic unit is closing due commercial redevelopment.

If you would like to help bring this unit to wales, please click here to go the GoFundMe page.
