Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway’s – Snowdonian Limited 2017

The 10th of June 2017 saw us back at the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways for their second Railtour of the year, this time being the Snowdonian Limited.

Again, we follow the special fundraising train throughout the 80 mile trip, but because of the terrible weather, we do take a break at lunch time 🙂

Locomotives for this Railtour are:

• Garratt 87 (Porthmadog – Caernarfon – Boston Lodge)
• Britomart, Lilla & Linda (Boston Lodge – Blaenau Ffestiniog – Porthmadog)

Extra staff were provided to deal with the token exchanges, this meant the Snowdonian Limited could run non stop from Porthmadog to Caernarfon.

The train stopped at Dinas for hog roast and lunch for the passengers, the train also stopped at Tanybwlch for afternoon tea to be served.
