The Midland Railway, at Butterly, Derbyshire are holding a very special event during half term (from 27th May to 4th June 2017) in the form of Butterly Brick Week.

Butterley Brick Week is set to offer visitors a great family day out featuring a big exhibition of Lego Brick Models, workshops and other family fun activities.

The display of 27 models are appearing for the first time in the East Midlands, UK. Included in the models is an 8 metre long model of Steam Loco Icon, 60103 “Flying Scotsman” with coaches.

There will also be an interactive workshop with a chance for the visitors to build their own Lego Steam Locomotive and a Find Billy Brick Competition.

On top of the Lego Attractions, the normal attractions at the Midland Railway, Butterly will be available, including the Railway Museum, Model Railways, Narrow Gauge Railway and a demonstration signal box.

Alan Calladine said “This is a great chance for visitors to see this impressive exhibition of models from the Bricks Britannia collection with the huge model of Flying Scotsman being the clear highlight. There will be plenty to keep everyone entertained and the LEGO® brick steam locomotive is a great model to build.”
