Two 100mph Locomotives Featuring at Nene Valley Gala

This weekend (22/23 April 2017) the are holding a gala featuring two giants of the east coast mainline.

Firstly, A1 No. 60163 Tornado, which recently made history in becoming the first steam locomotive in 50 years to steam along at 100 mph, will be attending the event, the locomotive has previously visited the NVR in 2016, and is back for 2017!

 

 

Secondly, 55018 ‘Ballymoss' (55022 ‘Royal Scots Grey' masquerading as 55018) will also be attending, another example of a locomotive that can go 100 mph!

A full british menu will be in use, featuring Full English Breakfast (Served till 11:00), Corned Beef Hash, Sausage and Mash, Cottage Pie, Beef Casserole.

On Sunday 23 April 2017 only Classic Bus services will operate an hourly service from Wansford from 11:30 to 15:30.
