On the 31st March 2017, the Settle and Carlisle Line was reopened after over a year closure after a landslide near Appleby caused the section being replaced by a bus.
The locomotive tasked with reopening the line was the world famous A3 No. 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ which hauled the tour from Oxenhope to Carlisle and return.
We see the A3 on the return journey at Ribblehead, Hellifield, Cononley and Oakworth.
The tour was completed by WD 90733 who took the tour from Keighley to Oxenhope.
We will shortly have a video uploaded with our visit to see Flying Scotsman at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.
