Back in our summer holidays in 2016, we made our first visit to the . The railway is a Standard Gauge Steam Railway in Oxfordshire, Southern England.

Our locomotive for the day is Pannier Tank L. 92 (in London Transport Red) has previously been numbered 5786 when, in 2013, it was out shopped in London Transport Red numbered L. 92 and helped celebrate the 150th anniversary of the London Underground between Farringdon and Paddington.

L. 92 was at Chinnor for the 2016 season, she was visiting from the South Devon Railway.  5786 was bought by the Worcester Locomotive Society where she resided at the Severn Valley Railway for a short period. In 1970 she was taken to the Bulmer Railway Centre, where she stayed until the centre closed in 1979.

The locomotive has been at the South Devon Railway ever since (been in preservation for 47 years! 8 years longer than her working life).

The Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway

The Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway runs through southern Oxfordshire, England. Once part of the GWR branch line between Watlington and Princes Risborough until British Railways closed it in 1957, with the section only open to cement traffic until 1989.

The railway trust are extending into Princes Risborough Mainline Station after discussions with Network Rail. The trust have extended the track into Princes Risborough, but a station is still being built. The first train ran into Princes Risborough in July 2016.

Due to running on Mainline track, camera's out of the window are not permitted
