Two More Visiting Locos For The Worth Valley

45407 arrives at Irwell Vale on the East Lancs Railway

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway has already announced two steam locomotives that will visit the railway for their Winter Steam Gala in March… now they have added Two Fives in the form of 45407 ‘The Lancashire Fusilier’ and 45212 (both visiting from Riley’s Locomotive Works in Bury)

45212 has already featured at the KWVR after overhaul at the Autumn Steam Spectacular, you can see our video on the Gala by clicking here.

Black Five No. 45212 is technically part of the KWVR fleet, but is visiting from Ian Riley’s during a mainline appearance.

The two Black 5s join Thompson B1 No. 61264 (Courtesy of the B1 Trust) and Crab No. 13065 (Courtesy of the East Lancs Railway).

All Locomotives for the Worth Valley Winter Steam Gala

All 4 visiting locomotives will join the resident locomotives of WD No. 90733, 4F No. 43924, S160 No. 5820 ‘Big Jim’, Coal Tank No. 1054, Taff Vale No. 85 and No. 1704 ‘Nunlow’ – No. 75078 is booked to attend, but is currently undergoing repair after failing over the Christmas period.
