It's approaching that time of year again. Railways around the UK are preparing for their ‘Halloween Specials' for 2016, though some trains are now fully booked, plenty of seats remain.
The Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway are once again running spooky trains on both the FR and WHR over the 27-29th October (trains run on the WHR on October 27th ONLY)
The Ffestiniog Railway will be running Halloween trains from Porthmadog to Tan-y-bwlch, whereas the WHR will be running to the Snowdonia Parc Brewpub. Music, fireworks and fancy dress are all promised, as well as a feast for all passengers. Buffet stewards will also be on hand for refreshments for the journey.
Trains leave Porthmadog at 18.00 and bring you back to Porthmadog for 21.30, the WHR Trains leave Caernarfon at 18:30 and bring you back to Caernarfon for 21:00.
Welsh Highland Railway
Adult – £18.00
Child 10-15yrs – £13.70
Child under 10yrs – £12.10
Price includes the train ride from Caernarfon to Waunfawr, a buffet, and an evening of fun at the Snowdonia Parc Brewpub
Ffestiniog Railway
Ticket prices start at £11.45 for children, rising to £18.25 for Adults, depending upon choice of food from Lasagne or Jacket Potato. Price includes steam train ride from Porthmadog to Tan-y-Bwlch (return), your choice of hot food, and the evening's fun at Tan-y-bwlch.
