This coming weekend (Sunday 8th May 2016) is a chance for you to go behind the scenes at the Ruislip Lido Railway. The railway is holding its first Open Day of the 2016 season, and gives you the chance to see the workings in the sheds at Woody Bay.
Here are some of the highlights:-
- The Workshop & Yard area will be open to the public.
- All available locomotives on display in the yard for children (of all ages!) to look at and sit in.
- P-Way vehicles will be on display.
The Ruislip Lido Railway's resident steam loco ‘Mad Bess' will also be in steam and will be running passenger trains throughout the day.
